About the Club

Eagle Oaks is known as one of the finest country clubs in New Jersey if not the East Coast. Impressive, lavish yet relaxing and inviting.

Award-winning dining facilities including a private upscale steakhouse as well as a casual dining room, in season tiki bar & grille, private cigar lounge, outdoor patio with grille overlooking the golf course.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Full-Time Saute Chef to join our exceptional team. Someone who is passionate about pasta and has a flair for crafting delicious Italian dishes

Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, grill, and present a variety of hot food items for various meal periods: to include Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Eagle Oaks may identify other responsibilities of the position.

*Prior experience in country clubs, hotels, or high-end restaurant environment is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Sous Chef to create and execute recipes.Quali kkjljoijk

Maintain the highest standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.

Setting up cook stations and stocking them with the necessary prep supplies.

Preparing food on the line, as needed, by cutting, mixing, chopping, and making sauces.

Cooking items on the line by sauteing to quality guidelines and standardized recipes .

Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards (like creating and following a restaurant cleaning checklist) that comply with state and local food safety and sanitation regulations.

Handling and storing food safely and properly.

Takes inventory counts before and after shifts, completes food inventory or storage sheets.

Ability to work on weekends, stand for extended periods of time, and lift up to 50 pounds.

May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a sauté person in a high-volume restaurant, preferably with Italian cuisine expertise with at least 3 years experience

Strong culinary skills, including a deep understanding of pasta preparation and Italian cooking techniques.

Team player.

Creativity and passion for developing new dishes and improving existing ones.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised

Some heavy lifting required

A culinary degree or certification is a plus
