Landscape Technician- Full Time

RiverWoods Exeter is currently hiring for an experienced Landscape Technician to come and join our team! This is a Full Time M-F benefits eligible position.

RiverWoods Exeter sits on a 200-plus acre campus and is home to the RiverWoods Exeter Arboretum with over 220 different species of trees and fantastic trails and gardens.

The Landscape Technician is responsible for the care, safety and appearance of the grounds, and associated equipment and vehicles. This includes routine landscape maintenance including planting, mulching, edging, plant removals, mowing, trimming, pruning, weeding, sweeping, and other such tasks. It also includes snow removal, plowing shoveling and otherwise clearing and treating roadways, parking areas, walkways, stairways, and cleaning resident cars.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides quality customer service with a positive attitude and commitment to teamwork while meeting the needs of residents, staff and visitors.
  • A reliable, hardworking staff member with a willingness and desire to learn and the ability to follow directions who is respectful and helpful to others
  • Works unsupervised, either alone or with others, and make responsible decisions when needed
  • Communicates effectively and keep a variety of tasks organized and delivered on-time
  • Performs basic and advanced gardening skills including weeding, mulching, edging, planting and pruning
  • Safely operates mowers and landscape equipment such as utility vehicles and motorized snow removal equipment
  • Performs basic grounds care including cleanliness and sweeping
  • Performs turf maintenance including mowing, trimming and leaf management
  • Completes uncomplicated work orders independently
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Valid drivers license
  • 3 years of previous Landscape and Snow Removal (plowing) experience
  • Ability to obtain a DOT medical card
  • Ability to operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle
  • Ability to operate large equipment including dump truck, loader, tractor, plow equipment, and trailers preferred
  • Green SnowPro Certification a plus
  • Horticulture training or certification a plus
