STREET MAINTENANCE WORKER/EQUIPMENT OPERATOR II

Town of Truckee, CA ($30.27/hr - $40.87/hr)

The Town of Truckee is currently accepting applications for a full-time Street Maintenance Worker II. We are actively seeking individuals with the same passion and values. The ideal candidate is available to work nights, weekends, and holidays under adverse conditions. Candidate must be responsible and able to work in a skilled and independent manner without close supervision. Must communicate well with supervisors, coworkers, and the public. At times, may provide training and technical project oversight to less experienced and seasonal staff.

Duties include routine and skilled heavy physical labor in the maintenance and repair of Town streets, drainage facilities, and rights-of-way. Must possess two (2) years experience operating various pieces of heavy equipment used in the performance of street maintenance and snow removal. Knowledge of Town road system a plus. A minimum of a Class B driver’s license or the ability to obtain a Class B or Class A license within the first 6 months of hire is required. This position will be part of the DOT Random Drug Pool.

The Town of Truckee is a drug-free workplace. Town employment requires the successful completion of a physical examination, drug screen and background check.
