A Brief Overview
Accountable for performing a variety of general, mechanical, and preventative maintenance duties as well as inspections, servicing, repair, and overhaul of equipment and facilities of the hospital.
What you will do
Proposes and maintains groundskeeping plan for the hospital and landscaping.
Approves all plants and trees for construction and expansion projects.
Maintains the hospitals exterior grounds and rental property.
Is responsible for exterior and interior hospital owned plant life.
Polices campus for garbage.
Is responsible for correct and timely application of chemicals as needed for the maintenance of the hospital campus.
Performs raking, sweeping, mowing, pruning, and transplanting as necessary.
Makes repairs to small engines and other lawn equipment.
Is responsible for the maintenance and occasional installation of lawn sprinkler system.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
Some High School
Drivers License - Licensing Board Upon Hire
Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
- Pesticide Applicators License - South Dakota Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources Upon Hire
