Important skills for a Wine Steward include excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills. They should also have a keen sense of taste and smell, and in-depth knowledge of winemaking and wine regions worldwide. As for certifications, a Wine Steward should preferably have an accredited qualification from organizations like the Court of Master Sommeliers or the Wine and Spirit Education Trust.
